Email, Drive and Gemini meeting notes
Google Calendar can identify links to documents attached to meetings, but Clear does not yet read the content of Gemini notes. Gmail, Outlook Mail, Google Drive, OneDrive and SharePoint connections are not yet available.
Connecting the Microsoft 365 calendar does not grant Clear access to email or documents. You can suggest the connectors your team needs.
Messages and conversations: Slack
Team conversations may contain a decision, a difficulty or a next step. The Slack connection reads spaces available through granted permissions and helps prepare useful tracking information.
A connection should not be assumed to be invisible: the application and its permissions may appear in the provider’s management interfaces. These Clear connectors do not post messages on your behalf.
Projects and issues: Jira and Linear
Project tracking involves more than tasks. Projects, issues and comments also provide context about progress and dependencies. Jira and Linear connectors help discover projects and associated signals, depending on accessible information.
Clear brings a cross-project view to this information. Teams continue working in their tools; Clear connectors do not modify issues or comments.
Calendars: Google Calendar and Microsoft 365
Events provide time references for team work. Google Calendar and Microsoft 365 connections access information within the connector’s scope and the person’s permissions.
Connecting a calendar does not mean Clear can create or edit its events. Available connectors are designed for read-only access.
Technical and document context: GitHub and Notion
GitHub repositories and Notion pages can add context to a project. The scope depends on the repositories, pages and spaces made available to the connection.
Having a connector does not mean every item from a provider is imported. Choose a relevant scope and check the resulting information before expanding its use.
Connecting and removing access
Each person authorises their own connections in Clear. Connection credentials are encrypted in the application. Removing a connection in settings deletes the credentials stored by Clear.
Clear also attempts to revoke access with providers that support it. If remote removal must be completed manually or cannot be confirmed, the interface explains this and provides a link. You can check permissions directly in your provider account.
How does AI processing fit in?
Connecting a tool and choosing a model are separate settings. Included AI processes extracts through European Amazon Bedrock profiles. Your own key follows your provider’s rules. Without AI, teams enter tracking information manually.
