What connectors can read
Each person authorises their own connections. Scope depends on their provider permissions and the access requested by the connector. Available connectors are read-only: they do not modify messages, issues or calendar events.
Connection credentials are encrypted in Clear. A connection does not grant access to every item in a company by default.
Where is data processed?
Included AI uses European Amazon Bedrock profiles. A request may be distributed across several European Union regions; this route should not be described as a single city or data centre.
With your Anthropic or Mistral key, extracts go to the selected provider under your contract. Its location and retention rules apply. Without AI, teams enter tracking information manually without sending content to a language model.
What Clear retains
Clear keeps structured tracking elements, their dates and provenance. The product is not an archive of the raw text of every conversation. Sources help explain proposals and revisit an interpretation.
Retention periods, deletion arrangements and personal data handling are described in the privacy policy. This overview complements that document; it does not replace it.
Separate workspaces and roles
Database access rules separate organisations. Within a workspace, confidential projects are restricted to authorised people. Roles distinguish everyday work from workspace administration.
Model calls are logged and usage is bounded per organisation. Proposals retain information that helps explain a suggested change.
Removing a connection
Removing a connection deletes credentials held by Clear. The application also attempts revocation with providers that support it. It distinguishes provider confirmation from removal that needs to be completed manually.
Clear stops new reads through the removed connection. Facts already shared in projects are retained and their source is marked as unavailable. You can check remaining permissions in your provider account. Removing a connection does not delete tracking information already shared.
Questions before a rollout
Decide which sources to connect, who should have access and which AI mode to use. Test a representative scope and check results with the people involved. Contact the publisher about specific contractual or operational requirements before a wider rollout.
